Background story
Just over a decade ago Collydean Baptist Church sold its church house to release funds to employ a minister part time and allow the church community time to grow to become self sustainable.
While the church has grown considerably and having a positive affect on the local community, this reserve has now diminished by almost 80% as the church runs at a monthly deficit, with offerings and fundraising not quite meeting the costs of running a church and ministries.
